Quincy is a gunfighter who made a deal with the devil. He joins a disillusioned preacher, Mr. Leon, and his traveling band of misfit carnies who’ve made deals of their own. Briskly paced, action-packed, and crammed with wild weirdness, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the promised sequels. The prose is pretty crisp, the plot's engaging and fairly original, and while the characters tend towards being cliches they still have enough heft to get me invested in them. And after all, the western genre has some of the best cliches out there; it'd be a shame not to put them to work. You've got action, redemption, monsters, magic, horsemen of the Apocalypse, and a setting that's not quite like anything else, although fans of the Deadlands games or Joe R. Lansdale's Jonah Hex comics will find themselves right at home in it.Product details

Really liked the character writing but loved the world the author created. I see a long series of books in his future.
Took a chance on this author who was not known to me. Thoroughly enjoyed this book! A "hard to define" paranormal horror western that makes me anxious for a follow up. Did not want to put it down and found myself reading late into the night just to see what happened next. Really want a sequel!
just finished this book. wow. not what i expected. the title gave me the idea that this might be a goofy parody of some kind but it is not. this book is good stuff, straight up action, good characters and lots of surprises. i'm looking forward to the sequels.
